Tim Gayda came to the Central Coastal in 1962 with his parents from Southern California. He grew up fishing, biking, hiking and camping, enjoying all the Central Coast has to offer. Surfing is his passion. He started at age 15 and can’t imagine ever giving it up. His dad Andy died on vacation when he was 18 years old, he told him before he left, to go into Sales. He had a good job driving a truck for Scolaris Markets, but soon decided to go back to school to explore other possibilities. He thought about Forestry, Farming and decided on Real Estate Sales. Everything he has learned from his dad about being honest, helpful and working hard has worked for him. At age 21, he passed the State Exam and started his Real Estate career in Santa Maria. He then married and started a family with three kids.
Interest rates hit a high of 18% and he turned to the Plumbing Industry in Wholesales Sales and then in the trade as a Repair Plumber and New Construction. He learned a lot during those years about sales, trust, responsibility and construction. Getting back in the Real Estate business in 1989, he has seen a lot of changes in the Market and in the Industry. He believes in knowledge, hard work and forming a partnership with his clients to achieve their goals in Real Estate.
